In today's science and technology museums, commercial immersive spaces, and public art installations, the kinetic screen is rapidly becoming a top-tier "traffic magnet" due to its magical ability to ripple and undulate in response to crowds and gestures. However, as visual art evolves into zero-distance human-machine contact, a severe yet often overlooked hidden danger emerges: interaction safety.
Especially in public scenarios with high child activity, such as shopping malls or exhibition halls, how can we ensure the absolute safety of physically moving screens? SPECTRUM provides an uncompromising safety baseline.

🚨 The Hidden Danger: Why Are Standard Kinetic Screens Prone to Pinching Accidents?
As the kinetic screen becomes more popular, audiences increasingly love to place their hands on the display to feel its physical movement. However, many traditional kinetic screens on the market were designed solely for "visual effects," completely ignoring the safety boundaries of "physical interaction."
Standard kinetic screens typically use rigid-drive motors. This means that when the matrix modules are rapidly pushed forward or retracted, the robotic arms force the execution of the command. If an audience member (especially a curious child) inserts a hand or an object into the gap between two moving modules, a traditional motor cannot sense the resistance and will forcefully close. This design, lacking a feedback mechanism, easily leads to severe physical pinch injuries, bringing devastating safety risks and PR crises to project operators.
🛡️ SPECTRUM's Safety Rule: No "Anti-Pinch," No Interaction
In SPECTRUM's product philosophy, the prerequisite for high-frequency interaction must be standard, absolute safety. To completely eliminate physical hazards in human-machine interaction, SPECTRUM has introduced the industry's top hardcore safety standard when developing the kinetic screen: the 3kg anti-pinch protection system.
⚙️ Hardcore Breakdown: The Technical Logic of 3kg Anti-Pinch
The 3kg anti-pinch feature is not a marketing gimmick; it is a physical safety lock built by precision sensors and low-level control algorithms. Its operational logic is as follows:
Precise Resistance Sensing: A high-sensitivity torque feedback system is integrated into every motion axis of SPECTRUM's equipment. At any moment of module movement, the system calculates the physical resistance borne by the robotic arm in real-time.
Safety Threshold Setting: Through extensive ergonomics and child safety testing, SPECTRUM has accurately set the safety threshold at 3kg (approximately 30 Newtons of force). This is a safe value that will absolutely not cause substantial compression injury, even if applied to a child's finger.
Millisecond Power-Off Disabling: When the screen is in motion (whether extending or retracting), if the module touches a human body or an object and senses a reverse resistance greater than 3kg, the electronic control system will instantly cut off the driving power to that module (disable it) within milliseconds.
Flexible Force Relief: After the power is cut, the robotic arm instantly loses its rigid thrust, and the module enters a relaxed state. The audience can easily pull their hand out, achieving true zero harm.
The maximum number of motor disablements can be configured. If a motor is disabled more than 'x' times, it will remain permanently disabled and can only be restored through a reset.
If the motor is disabled within the allowed limit, it will automatically return to its initial state, and after 3 seconds, it will resume its preset motion state.
Thanks to the empowerment of the 3kg anti-pinch technology, SPECTRUM's kinetic screen has truly made the leap from "look but don't touch" to "safe to touch," making every interaction filled with the warmth and peace of mind of technology.
